With a college teaching career that began in 1984, I am privileged to have taught at 4-year universities and now at Mt. Hood for the past 15 years.  Interspersed were stints as a banker, work in Japan for a private Japanese company, and many years doing marketing and sales in high technology.  Current courses:  Introduction to Business, Leadership, Ethics, and International Business.  I see myself as one who gives students more tools not only to navigate their way in business, but also through life.

Background: 25+ years as software trainer. Former librarian at MHCC and several public libraries. Other work experience prior to teaching includes graphic design, retail, office support. MHCC faculty since 2006. Recipient of MHCC Distinguished Teaching Award in 2017.
Teaching focus areas: business computing, management info. systems, project management, data analytics.

With over 25 years in Education, I have served in many capacities including teaching high school Business classes, training teachers in technology and administration at all levels: elementary, secondary and college.  I take great pride in the Business partnership I have created over the years, which earned me an “Educator of the Year” award from the local Chamber of Commerce in the San Francisco Bay Area.  My partnerships included working with small businesses to recruit workers, developing a training center with the local Fire Department and designing internships programs with large corporations such as BART and Tesla.
